ROBOTIS(www.robotis.com) is the very developer of its actuators ‘Dynamixel’ that 28 humanoid robot teams participating in ‘RoboCup 2007’ adopted.
Dynamixel is a high-performance actuator controlled by digital packet communication. It has unique ID controlled by Packet communication on a bus. It supports network of TTL, RS 485, and CAN, etc. depending on model. The Dynamixel can read current position of it or speed as well as various information such as internal temperature, supply voltage, target position.
Featuring simple connection structure, it gives you feedback when internal temperature, torque, supply voltage escapes from appointed range. Also in such emergency situation, it flashes LED.
